The caddy box is in generally good condition and is veneered with attractive flame mahogany with ebony edging. The box has brass swing handles, one to each end. There are signs of an old repair to a veneer split at one corner (please see photo) and a piece of ebony edging is missing. These points do not, in my opinion, particularly detract from the overall'look' of the box. The box has a lock but currently no key and the key escutcheon is missing.
If I can find a key from my spares I will include it with the caddy. Internally the lid has original paper lining which if required to remain should be reattached where it has parted from the lid itself. The two pots and bowl are seated in a wooden frame. One of the two pots has an internal crack running from the neck to the shoulder but appears sound. The mixing bowl has a very old, stapled repair. Once again the repair appears sound.
