Offering a set of two (2) antique Georgian/Regency Period Anglo-Irish cut glass covered sweetmeat dishes with lids. One covered sweetmeat dish is 7 7/8" tall with lid and the other is 7 3/8" tall. Colorless lead glass, urn-form bowl with roll-over rim, strawberry diamond cutting and star cut base. The lids are designed with flat finial which serves as a stand when the lid is inverted.
The finial is attached to the lid with a glass wafer. The larger dish has a nick on the edge of the finial, nicks to the edge of the rolled rim and 3 larger chips to the edge of the rolled rim. The small dish has three chips on the edge of the finial, one large chip and one nick on the edge of the rolled rim. Both have shelf wear on the base.
